Is the tagging system in kontakt 7 going to be improved ? Custom tags, adding tags on the fly ...

I thought you were talking about your own user patches, yes factory patches are locked but there is a workaround which is to copy them to a user location, then tag them, then copy them back but it always runs the risk of a future update overwriting them. You can of course make sure you have a backup. I suppose if you really want an entirely personalised library then maybe keep it all in user and customise the heck out of it :) I guess that is really the definition of 'user' anyway, factory is just the baseline collection.
So it sounds like what you are wanting is to be able to tag factory patches as well as user patches? (and I would echo the request that the tagging in Kontakt rather than KK, and also in Massive X, should have the tools for batch tagging as well as one by one)

Yes. Having the ability to tag factory patches and delete default tags. But if you know a workaround to "copy the factory library to the user library" I am open to hearing that. What do I need to copy and where?

To be honest I think on reflection it could get messy with Kontakt factory instruments. As I said I had assumed you were talking about your own content anyway - factory content by definition is meant to be left as it is, or when edited it becomes user content and is deliberately kept in a user designated location so it doesn't a) mess with sensitive factory settings, b) get overwritten by updates, negating any changes you made.
Also Kontakt libraries are more complicated, involving multiple formats and dependencies - lots to mess up potentially. The workaround works fine for example if I have a factory NKS bank I want to retag, I copy them into User Content and edit them there but that's just .nksf files. I did this recently with the NKS for Synapse Dune 3 for example with had a limited template and mistakes in the tagging. It may work though at least with Kontakt snapshots as in the example I posted earlier with Playbox. I would test this cautiously though by just trying with a folder of snapshots from the factory location to user and see if it lets you edit them.

Where do I find the snapshot folder of all the libraries? My Kontakt libraries folder is 4 Tb and a 149 libraries
Is it the .nksn files? Some of my libraries (not all of them) have indeed a snapshot folder inside the master folder
For the libraries that doesn't have a "snapshot" folder with nksn files, does it mean that the only way to add them to the user library is to open the factory patch, save them one by one ?

Yeah that's another reason I would not suggest potentially doubling it by adding another copy of the whole lot. Snapshots don't take up much file space and are meant to have copies in User so it seems a place to start. Not sure about the other files though as they include samples and probably are not meant to be moved
