Software on a second device
Ive read the article saying that you can have Maschine 2 on two computers but every time i open maschine 2 on my second device it asks me to launch in demo mode, buy it, or register a serial. I registered my Maschine MK3 on another home (1st registration) computer and i want to use it with my laptop also but it wont let me.

I did, sorry for not mentioning that. But I woke up this morning and checked my laptop and Maschine 2 was just magically in NA. So idk what I did or what happened but it’s ‘solved’ now. Thank you for all your support

Make sure you’re on latest Native Access (3.3) and Maschine (2.17). You can also try hitting the refresh button in Native Access - I think it’s top right somewhere. If that doesn’t work then it may be a support question because it shouldn’t be any different than setting up first computer.

I would suggest not to update NA until newest version is stable (lot of people having problems with it right now)
About your problem, take a look at this. It seems to have solved other users issues:

Do you have two seperate serial codes for Maschine 2 software? I am new to the software, but pretty sure you would need two copies with two seperate serial codes to run the software on two seperate devices. I think they have an option for you to download the software to a portable drive which you could use on multiple devices with just one serial code.

the articles say you can use your license on 2 separate devices, just not at the same time. But Maschine 2 never shows up on NA on my 2nd device. Also having an issue installing updates on NA, it will say calculating time remaining and then never download. Gonna try and load a previous version of NA I guess

You don’t need 2 separate serials.
The OP is right, it should automatically appear in NA on second device (always if the 2 NA are registered with the same account).
NA seems to have many problems these days

Go to your Native Access and make sure its updated to version 3.3 and also make sure your Maschine is updated to 2.17. This should clear it up

There’s another official NI thread stating NA 3.3 version is under investigations because it causes problems, with links to previous versions. I won’t hurry to update to 3.3

So what do I do if I can’t get Maschine 2 in NA on my second device?

if NA 3.3 is under investigation (I missed that I guess) then maybe try contacting support or just have to wait for an NA update. As mentioned elsewhere it auto updates when closed so trying to downgrade it doesn’t work very well - it’s sort of a one off thing.

Did you try the link I posted before?

What does Native Access says on your laptop about Maschine? Demo or Installed?

The important thing is that now you can use it. Happy for you 👍🏼

Interesting, I didn't know you could install on two devices. I have only been using the software for a few months. I did have issues with Native Access 2, so I ended up installing the original version. I saw they are on version 3 now but are having issues with that version also. I think there was an issue locating older software packages in the newer versions of NA.
