How do I recreate this using Super 8? Or is this synthesizer too simplistic?

How about FM8? Massive (X)?

    Nah... doesn't come that close. I chose a brass synth sound, which came a bit closer to the wanted sound.. but still doesn't suit perfectly.. for now I skipped the project.
