I'm new to Maschine+ and I'm having a hard time loading sound packs from my Komplete 15 Collectors package. Which sounds are available. I'm getting error after error attempting to load sounds. Frustrating

The Maschine+ product page explains the things that are available for standalone use, and those that are for the desktop Maschine software.

As for the Komplete packages, only the Maschine & Massive Expansions are compatible with the M+ standalone.

(The Maschine Expansions used to actually say Maschine on them. Now it looks as if they only say Expansion or even just Exp)

If you're trying to install Maschine+ compatible expansions and still getting errors it could be the memory card. Are you using the one that came with the unit? I bought a new Samsung micro-SD with an adaptor and had nothing but problems. Switched to a standard Samsung SD and no problems since.

On the other hand, I'm using a SanDisk 512Gb micro card with a SanDisk adapter and everything is peachy.

I had the same one - could be I got a faulty card? Although it seemed to format/work ok on PC when I tested it. Dunno, I've heard others say microSD can be temperamental.

It's fair to say that you have more potential points of failure when using an adapter (another set of contacts), but I'm just mentioning it because "if you use an adapter you will have problems" is not necessarily true. 🙂

You need to be more descriptive…. What are the "errors" exactly? We can't guess… Also, the erros are in Standalone Mode right? You installed everything from the Settings menu, right? you cannot just copy Expansions from the computer to the M+.

    Same experience here.

Micro SD's designed for extremely small devices, which the M+ is not, hence it has a full-size SD Reader… Anything I own that could be considered "professional" from audio recorders to video cameras all have full size SD's, in the camera world for example, people always recommend not using adaptors…

The failure rate of even full-size SD's is so high that they come with a voucher for recovery software, adding extra points of failure for no advantage is not very smart.

NI shipping the M+ with an adapter + Micro SD does not help the case…
