Noticable midi latency on the mashine plus when receiving notes from another sequencer or a DAW

There is a huge amount of midi latency on the receiving notes on my maschine+ when i try to sequence it's midi notes from another sequencer (daw or hardware).on the exact same setup sending notes to another hardware drum machine is working fine with no noticeable latency.there is no difference if i am connected thru usb or midi din.

Buffer size on the maschine is on 128 . In terms of midi latency on a computer with a buffer size of 128 the latency is acceptable but not on the maschine plus.Any ideas?

    What sounds are you playing with these incoming notes? Samples, synths (which?)? How busy is the MIDI coming in (i.e. single notes like a drum pattern or lots of polyphonic info)?

    Hi.i am trying to sequence simple drum patterns with loaded drum kits from maschine's expansion packs . Even with a single note such a hi-hat the latency is there so i don't think it is a polyphony thing.
