software limits

I don't understand, I'm new with the maschine, and I'm finding very important limits in the software. I hope I misunderstood, but I don't think so. How is it possible that you can write various patterns in every group of every scene, but you can use only one pattern for every group of a scene? And how is it possible that you can use only 64 scene in a software sold as professional?
And I'm finding more troubles in the song view mode, it's very messy to navigate, you can't zoom easly and if you work adding notes directly in the song mode it's like impossible to be precise. And one more: working in reaper using the software as a vst plugin there's a problem more: I can't see the down scrolling bar to navigate in the song view. I have the maschine since yesterday, and I already found a lot of problems, I'm very disappointed.

do some research… and then do some more research…

btw… youtube is a good place to research maschine…

if you lack perseverance when learning the in & outs of maschine…

then perhaps a whistle.. might be more your thing… *joking😘🎶

If you try and approach Maschine in the same way as you do a 'usual' DAW then yes, you will struggle. Its an entirely different workflow that takes a bit of time to get used to. Maschine functions best as a groovebox to get ideas down quickly and easily but it approches music construction very differently from something like Logic Pro.

Try starting here and go through each video and you should quickly grasp the concepts.

I work with reaper. I'm a musician and songwriter more than a producer, but I'm learning. I'm quite new with this kind of hardware. What I wrote yesterday in this post was my first impression, coming from the classic DAWs, but I'm understanding now that it's possible to bypass these limits in someway. Just the workflow is a bit less "natural" than reaper, and it's not so automatic to use the maschine mk3 mikro as a midi controller on reaper. But I think I just need a bit of practice

Research how to use clips and it might help when you're in song mode. They are unique parts so you can edit them on the timeline and don't need to create another scene/pattern. Then you're not trying to create tons of scenes/patterns anymore as you can just use them to get the ideas down and shift to clips when arranging.

This is how I like to use MIDI note to trigger Scenes, Lock States and sometimes Selection however I want to say that there's no limit to number of Scene's and it will rather be too much to use more Scenes than you need .

i trust you didnt take my first cheeky comment too much to heart….

i like you work inside the Reaper environment… and depending on the direction you are wishing take, Reaper provides a workflow unlike any other DAW, whereby your midi-controller albeit your maschine controller can be made to work in the 2 different mode.. Maschine mode or Midi-mode

if you have found the midi-button press to change, between maschine mode and that of midi mode, you might begin to use realearn by helgoboss… as it can bring added flexibility in how you may wish to use Maschine and Reaper…

im well down the road in this aspect of combining Reaper&Maschine

i do like to show this video off… just to highlight how im using Reaper/Realearn/Maschine in a mixnmash context…

all said… the projects used are in some of the NI expansions packs

i have spammed this video… enough on this forum LOL
