Download speed is too slow

The download time has nothing whatsoever to do with the download speed available. The NBN speed was about 45mb/ses and on my phone about 140.The download speed from NI as stated averaged 1-2 gig /hour. Download speed may be fine in Germany but here in Australia it is beyond appalling.

One other thing I noticed was a discrepancy in speed between different items. Some a lot faster than others. May have to do with where they are hosted from.

Also what about this "Update" ******. Native access is broken and has been for years.

None of these areas has anything to do with NI whatsoever - yet they are taking all the heat for it.

Well NI has influence over what CDN they use :) Which is a big part.

If multiple different users have slow download, while they can download fast from other providers, upgrading to a new wifi 7 will probably not help ;)

I had routing in mind when I wrote my comment. And I stand by it: the victim blaming is appalling in this thread.

Without evidence - we have no idea what NI does (or has done) in terms of a CDN - but let's assume they made a choice. And that choice is awesome for you and I - but a buddy of mine in another city (Same province) - who is hitting that same CDN - cannot download anything without a hassle.

That has zero to do with the CDN and everything to do with exactly how the bits and bytes get to his house. Not all ISPs are created equal.

And everyone in this thread misses the bigger picture. NI downloads are regulated and speed capped. Also Summer of Sound continues - and the download framework is being pounded daily from all angles.

Finally - wi-fi? If you want this to actually work - regardless of where you live - you need to be hardwired.
