Am I wrong……?
Somehow I have in mind that there's a Hardware License required for Native Instruments…isn't it?
Is a HW license also required for a used Traktor Kontrol S4 MK2?
I have seen offers; but mentioned that there is no license ( so I need to assume that there is no HW License as well)
Any tips / experiences?

    In general: If you already have a Traktor license you don‘t need to register your hardware. You can use it - as long as it is compatible with your Traktor version. Kontrol S4 Mk2 with Traktor Pro 4 will work, Traktor Z1 Mk2 with Traktor Scratch Pro 2 won‘t. (As it needs at least TP4).

    But registering your Traktor hardware may unlocks a full version of Traktor Pro or at least a voucher for a discount. @Martiniix_NI already gave the right hint about license transfer for second hand hardware.

    If - for whatever reason - a transfer isn‘t possible and you don‘t already have a license you can buy a new one and your S4 Mk2 should work.
