Is there a way to easily override the factory mapping of the browser encoder push on the X1Mk3 and wire it up to loadSelectedTrack() in BrowserView.qml so that the DJ Mirror window updates correctly?

have you considered using Xreal glasses?? as a means of a portable monitor?

its an emerging tech, that could be useful with DJ software/Maschine software combo's

heres a video i did for demonstration purposes with the Xreal Glasses using maschine standalone & virtualDJfree.. with a couple of Maschine Jams

I would consider testing them out. It is definitely interesting if it is not too heavy and fits great. Feels like something you need to test out in person and see if it works for you. Especially the designs.

Back to the topic now :)

Ok so I found something suggested by @Sûlherokhh in another thread. I override the browser button push on the X1 and map it to one of the app.traktor.midi.buttons then I can use AppProperty and its onValueChanged to wire it up to a function in the qml file.

Not sure if that's the most elegant way but I can now push one of the browser buttons on the X1 and that opens the browser in the correct DJ Mirror window. Pressing it again when the browser is open loads the track via DJMirror's function so that it updates the window correctly.

Next step would be to tap directly into the browser list delegate instead so that I can press on a folder and navigate without touching the screen.

I added hotcue names on the waveform in my Prime mod last year, maybe they can copy it 🙂

Cool! I didn't know Aleix Supreme Mod already implemented that feature. DJMirror is the first and until now only MOD I obtained 🙂

I'm really loving DJ Mirror so far. I'm currently trialling it with a Lenovo ThinkVision portable monitor that I got a few years ago with work (connected to M3 Macbook Pro via USB-C). It's not touchscreen, but is working well as display with 4 DJ Mirror windows (two from the 'DJ Mirror S8' and another 2 windows that mirror my exisitng D2 screens (left and right). I have ordered one of the Prechen 10.3" touchscreens to get something a bit smaller that can sit at the end of my S4mk3 (plus touch compatible).

@Sûlherokhh I saw you mentioned earlier that the DJ Mirror developers haven't changed any of the files that would affect your S4mk3 community performance mod—is that right? If so, what is the best order to install all the various mod files to use them together? i.e., If I start from a 'clean' QML folder, should I install the community performance mod first, then install the DJ Mirror qml mod files? I've done a bit of programming in the past, but new to qml so probably not skilled enough to 'merge' the code!

Mirror files first. Their archive contains ALL files, including those they didn't change at all.

Hello communityI just set up DJmirror. I followed all the installation instructions, and everything works correctly, except I can't save my configuration. I think I must have skipped a step or missed one. I'm using Windows 11 with Traktor 4.2; does anyone have any tips to help me? Thank you for your help.

Another user reported configs didn't get saved with version 1.2, while 1.0 worked fine. Haven't had a look at the code. Best report this @ the patreon page.

Hi! On Mac, during the installation, a custom launch file is created.
If you open Traktor directly, DJMirror won’t save your configuration.
You need to use the launch file instead.
There’s a step-by-step video on Patreon showing exactly how to do it.

i'm unsure if people here have considered an alternative to DJ mirror…

the idea is to simply airplay the Macs display to a ipad, using the app called Yam display

airplay to yam display can be used wired or wirelessly…

i know that the yam display also works with older ipads as well.. provided they support airplay

you can either use it to mirror your macs display or as a extended desktop… and you can pinch to zoom the display to focus in on the area of interest

the Yam display app is very affordable… and can also be used in a headless mac display configuration, if you set it up correctly(its straight forward)…

the caveat is you can only get 1 extra display… there doesnt seem to be a way to have 2 displays as far as i can tell
