Just bought Reaktor. But it doesn't feature the 19 Blocks ensembles promised

Hi,

I have seen other users have this problem, and have seen responses like "It seems Reaktor 6 doesn't ship with Reaktor Blocks anymore, but I will add the licence to your account."

If you check the NI Reaktor page today, it still says "comes with Blocks, and features 19 ensembles with presets"… including Eliane, Motor Beat, Kyaraben, Quadropolis etc….

Can someone please help me out with the necessary ensembles or licence? It's driving me mad that I paid 199 euro for Reaktor two weeks ago, and find that it's only 79 euro today, but I STILL don't have everything advertised.

Thanks in advance.

With respect to the difference in price then yes one does experience irritation in situations like that , it is never great to experience that you spend money and next thing the same is on sale.

As for the what's included then sometimes it can be hard to tell from page description if it does not say specifically included .

But in both cases then best advice that I can give is to contact N.I. Support (all) and as politely as you possibly can express your grievance while asking if they could possibly help to remedy the situation somehow.

In case that you need guidance contacting support : How to contact NI Support and How to get in touch with our Customer Care

Customer Care who is also in the forum is not back until some time next week but the also prefer if you at least has made a ticket already if you need them to check up on anything. Also please notice that because of the sale then respond times are longer.

Thank you PoorFellow for taking the time to write such a constructive reply.

I've opened a ticket, I understand it might take a minute to get a reply.

Of course, I know it's just bad luck that the price dropped - not really complaining about that.

I'm attaching a screen-grab (from their site today) with the phrase "Reaktor 6 ships with 19 expertly crafted patches"… (the Ensembles I'm looking for/ missing), so I don't think there is any debate about whether they should be included or not.

But I hear you! I'll be polite.

    Thanks again.

Do you not see Blocks base in Native Access?

And thank you for giving such kind reply yourself 🙂

I myself were referring to the Blocks Prime.

On the subject of "FACTORY PATCHES" did you then install all in Native Access that came with the Reaktor 6 purchase ? And have you checked the installation location and the Factory library settings destination for the Patches ?

    Hi Kymeia.

I do indeed see Blocks Base in Native Access.

I'm searching for 19 specific Ensembles - Blip, Curve Trax, Drive, Dual Gen, Duality, Eliane, Kyaraben, Lumikko, Monark Mikro, Morph Twin, Motor Beat, Organ Blaster, Quadropolis, Quant FM, Shift Run, Squares, Steps, Submotion and XY. All Reaktor Ensembles.

I have found a forum post from years ago (different forum completely) where a Reaktor user seems to have had the same problem.

Simple question - do you have these ensembles?

I can see the Blocks Base and Blocks Primes folders installed in the correct place on my PC.

Screengrab of my Native Access below. All looks good.

So I'm pretty sure NI have changed what gets shipped/ licensed with Reaktor 6 but not updated their webpage. I read that these ensembles may have been given away as a "special" at some stage. I dunno. As I've pointed out, their site says they all ship. There are 19 "dots" to scroll through on their page which exactly coincide with these missing ensembles.

    Thanks.

    P.S.

Sorry , I am not a Reaktor expert but this should be the answer :

The patches are most likely found in the Player section

Also please refer to this discussion : Reaktor Block ensembles are missing (Wired, Lumikko etc)

Sorry for my own confusion, I am at best an amateur myself when it comes to Reaktor 🙂

    PoorFellow,

No need for apologies - I really appreciate the replies.

The last post in the discussion you mention is very relevant - I am hoping things will work out for me like they did for that original poster. He explains the ensembles were given away separately but NI gave them to him finally. Fingers crossed the same happens to me.

    Here is that post:

    Anyway, thanks for your time.😉

    @Jeremy_NI ,

This page on the N.I. site about Reaktor 6 Blocks says that Reaktor 6 comes with 19 expertly crafted patches and then shows and names the patches as you scroll through the pictures on the page.

But the patches are not found on more peoples computers (mine included).

Could N.I. please supply a download for these patches / blocks ? (please refer to this discussion also) (same discussion page 1 starting post)

(Hopefully there will be no activation problems 🙂 , though perhaps then the only solution will be if N.I. add these blocks to peoples account manually ? If so then I have a very hard time understanding why N.I. did not update the page so that it no longer promises the patches when making changes to the Reaktor 6 installation ?)

Yeah I recall that thread, but that comment is not entirely accurate. The Xmas freebie was Blocks Wired and consisted of 3 of the 19 you mention but not the rest:

    Screenshot 2025-05-31 at 21.41.01.png

The rest should be here (and are on my system):

    Screenshot 2025-05-31 at 21.40.39.png

However to be clear, these were the original Blocks ensembles from the first release of Reaktor 6, but in Reaktor 6.3 ensemble based blocks were superseded by the front patched Reaktor Racks which came in 2 sets - Blocks base:

    Screenshot 2025-05-31 at 21.45.57.png

    and Blocks Primes

    Screenshot 2025-05-31 at 21.46.29.png

Now I have the originals since I have been a Reaktor user for several versions so had Reaktor 6 from the very start, I guess it is possible that as the Front patch racks replaced the older internally patches ensemble versions these have since been removed from the version of Reaktor that is for sale, and that page not updated. Can anyone from NI verify that and if so supply users with links to the older versions? @Jeremy?

    Thank you Kymeia ,

Yes the whole thing has changed so that the blocks patches are missing :

On my PC then it looks like this , there is nothing in root of main folder Blocks Base other than other folders , and the patches by the names referred to are no where to be found on the computer (I used Windows Explorer to search for them) :

They would not be under Block Base but under Reaktor Blocks - but obviously not if they were removed. I guess NI removed them to focus on the most uptodate front patching method as the older one was a bit less accessible and keeping both versions would be potentially confusing for Reaktor newbies. Maybe they could make them available though as Reaktor 6 legacy ensembles?

@PoorFellow - Thanks for confirming you don't have those ensembles.

@Kymeia - I totally agree - they seem to have been offered as "Reaktor Blocks". And that's a great idea - making them available as Reaktor 6 legacy ensembles.

    Cheer.

    That should read Cheers, obviously.

I just woke up and sleepily checked both your posts from bottom to top like an idiot so I missed some stuff. I really appreciate you both asking NI to verify/ help here. And for taking the time to investigate all this, and for posting the images of the browser etc which makes it very clear what is going on.

Wishing you both a very pleasant Sunday.

They would not be under Block Base but under Reaktor Blocks

Thank you , yes , sorry for me being less than clear about this in the above , but the directory "Reaktor Blocks" does not exist and my own impression is that it has been replaced by "Block Base" (?) (and Blocks Primes ?)

Maybe they could make them available though as Reaktor 6 legacy ensembles?

Great idea. Now we only need for N.I. too to think that it's a great idea 😁

    on that note : @dddmmm :

Thank you very much fro the kind words , Kymeia's legacy remark here just reminded me of another 'legacy thing about Reaktor 6 that I probably ought to share : Important ! When following older tutorials then they may use Tutorial Ensembles that you then can not find. To be able to find/use those then go to the Reaktor Factory Library disk directory and unzip the content of the "Legacy Library.zip"

Actually I was thinking it might be OK to post them in the user library as they are factory content (apart from maybe the 3 Xmas freebies) and people post mods of factory content all the time (maybe with minor mods like extra snapshots?)
