Hi, I am desperated, all my tracks are empty and I can not recall which instruments I had on them. I didnt know that after the update every VST2 plug in is erased. did someone face the same problems? even if I would be able to read how to do it I would not know how to reinstall them as I am a nightmare when it comes to technical things and computers. I really need help : ( even chat gpt could not help, and that means soemthing

    Uninstall Komplete Kontrol

Download and install the older version (2.9.6) from here - https://support.native-instruments.com/hc/en-us/articles/360000313457-Komplete-Kontrol-Legacy-Installers-for-Older-Operating-Systems

You don't need to upgrade Komplete Kontrol unless you have a MK3 keyboard. I'd suggest using the VST3 version of the Komplete Kontrol plugin in new projects moving forwards to ensure future compatibility.

thank you soo much for your answer 😊is it really that simple. Because I read before you have to search the path we’re the old vst2‘s were installed etc. etc. I would not even know how to do that (as I said, I am a tech nightmare) so deinstalling the new one and installing the old version would do the trick?

It should be easy yes. Use Windows Add/Remove programs in the control panel to remove the latest Komplete Kontrol then reinstall the older one.

The latest KK doesn't support VST2 which is why all your tracks are empty. Uninstalling the latest version then installing the older one should add the VST2 plugin back at which point it'll load whatever instrument was loaded into it. The dropping of support for the VST2 plugin caused quite a few comments at the time, but fortunately the older version still works with the MK1 and MK2 keyboards.
