Update for automatically flexible beatgrids detection like Algoriddim Djay Pro does??

Recently found this library. It can detect beats, downbeat and even phrases
MIT license would allow it to be used in a commercial product.
Maybe @DJ NUO can cook something up.

" the question was….."
Yes I know what the question was, but surely the more we provide feedback to NI on what the competition is doing, the more chance they'll act - don't you think?
Rather than just ask "when?", show that progress is taking place elsewhere. Also mentioning what's happening with other products keeps users here informed, and may encourage them to try other options.
I do find it strange that people post about the limitations of Traktor and how behind it is, then in the very same post say that they don't want to move to another software that actually has what they need…. 🤔

Hi Pk the Dj
Sure, the more feedback we give NI the better, although I'm not sure they take it into account.
I started using Traktor when I bought the Numark 4Trak many moons ago. I've spend months, even years getting al my vinyl and cd music ripped and organised in Traktor. Maybe, if there was an easy way to transport all my music, grids, cue points, etc, I would have changed to another software, but since there is no way, I just stick with Traktor.
For me, Traktordoes what I want from it, but if you're new to dj'ing and you have to choose what software you're going to use, Traktor is not on most people's list. This means less people buy it, so it becomes less important to NI as they're not making any real money from it. No money = less programmers working on it = less updates, making it fall behind even more. Plus no new hardware (most new dj's want an all in one controller, not the X1, Z1 way. So NI lagging behind does have an impact on me (and not just me, alot of people have been commenting on it, or even have just jumped ship a long time ago)
I was happy with the standard beatgridding> Some track are gridable, so I use Sync. Some tracks are not gridable, so I mix them the old way, by ear. The new flexible grids weren't really an improvement for me, as they got rid of the GRID cue point, so they all turned into regular cue points ( I even have the same tracks in different directory's (so I can use the same track in a different playlist with different cue points)) some of 'em still have the 'old' white grid markers, the other ons doesn't. A bit confusing to me.
Anyway, I'm rambling. Enjoy your day, enjoy the music.

"if there was an easy way to transport all my music, grids, cue points, etc"
There is - or rather there are, because several third party programs exist to cater for DJs moving their libraries between software.

Hmmm. got to check this out>I know of 1 app (DJCU) that does this, but it only works with Apple's.
Just found out about MIXO, maybe I will give that a try.

There is mixo.dj and lexicon dj who does this.
For rekordbox <> Traktor there is also a free program on github, but it does not do playlists.

Thanks, I will check it out. Not really interested in Rekordbox, maybe Serato as I once did buy it, but never used it. But VirtualDj looks interesting to me.
