I am from Canada and cannot purchase without sales tax. Not sure how that would work on the webshop.

As VP says if you're a consumer you need to pay the 21% VAT. If you're a VAT registered business customer you should be able to claim the VAT back through your VAT returns.

Thank you! I know, but how do i do that? On checkout there's no way to do it and it's very hard to get information from NI..

You don't do it on checkout, you get it back or subtracted from your yearly filing taxes with your local tax agency.

At least that is how I understood it.

Thanks. no, it's not working that way. It has to be substracted before payment is done, or restituted. Mostly it is by checkout, but I don't see that option. Normally (for example with Thomann or apps like sibelius) it works that way. But I can't find any information on NI about it

When you press "checkout" on your cart, you can add or change your billing address. That has a VAT number field. Try adding that.

Before finalizing the order process, the VAT will be deducted from the sales price to avoid double taxation. Please make sure that you are actually exempted from VAT for purchases in the EU before you fill in your tax ID, otherwise please ignore the optional field for the VAT-ID.

Quote : What does VAT mean in the webshop?

VAT stands for "Value Added Tax", which is an indirect sales tax. If you live in the European Union (but outside of France or Germany) and are exempt from VAT, you can fill in your VAT-ID (VAT No.) into the appropriate field during checkout in our webshop.

If you think that you qualify to checkout as described above and there is a problem with doing that then please contact N.I. Purchase Support . Please notice though that it is possible that you need to be registered at N.I. as a VAT tax exempt business to be able to checkout as a VAT Tax exempt business.

yes, thank you, this is the answer I am looking for… but… by checking out there was no place to fill in my international VAT number, so you advice me to contact NI, right? Will do so. At least: try, yesterday I got lost in the online labyrinth, sending me from here to there and back again :-)

In extension of what lord-carlos wrote then :

Did you click the plus to add address ?

There should then be a field at the bottom of the page ?
