Traktor Sound Quality

Hi there community :)

I've been a Traktor DJ for about 20 years out of my 25 year DJ career. I totally love the software and I believe it allows me to do what no other platform has allowed me to do. I would never change to another platform.

I do have 1 pretty big problem though. Time and time again I am noticing that the sound quality coming from the CDJs is fatter, more solid and higher quality then the sound playing from my Traktor.

These days I am plugging straight into a Pionner DJM A9 mixer and using that mixers sound card. I did a gig on Saturday and the Dj that took over after me - his sound was much better coming from the cdjs. I have tested this countless times over the years and always given Traktor the benefit of the doubt but I really would like to solve this problem now as I know I'm not imagining it.

The new Ozone in Traktor 4 surely isn't the answer (mastering tracks that are already mastered)

Please can someone help me get better sound from Traktor. I'm very keen to know if others are experiencing this problem.

Thanks a lot

    Hello,

have you tried to set ozone to 0dB boost and just use it as a safety limiter, and apply some headroom under prefs/mixer/external mixing mode, maybe -3 as a starting point. And use the auto gain function on the decks

i also have the opinion that something is not in balance with the Ozone maximizer . I feel that there may be a CPU influence depedning on the driver you are using and finally the gear that is connected … that has a Reaktion to the Sound. itˋs still a feeling without Solution .. Nobbi
