DJMirror allowing screen data from S8 / S5 / D2 to be displayed on external monitor
I've recently started using the mod from DJMirror https://www.patreon.com/c/DjMirrorTraktor/posts?redirect=true
which allows the S8 / S5 / D2 screen data to be put on an external monitor.
It is what I've wanted forever. I previously had D2s which I loved but have always like the idea of having a screen mounted right in front of my mixer and then being able to use an x1 with the screen functionality.
It would be really great for the Traktor devs to implement this as a native function of the software to ensure it is stable.
I've got a 12.3 1920 x 800 touch widescreen monitor in front of my px5. So good.

Im also in DJMirror Patreon, its great! I see in your picture you have “FX” in the bottom of DJMirror Screen, how do you change that? Mine shows “Filter”

You probably have a stem or remix deck as deck type, either the top deck or the bottom deck. You can change that with the left/right arrow buttons next to the D2 screens.
Edit: I think. I may be wrong. Haven't checked the screen code yet.

I am pretty sure NI will not maintain this, but it should be stable if it just copies the screen via code in the D2/S5/S8 files. The only thing it might add is processor load and some GUI latency.

I'm not sure what I did, so sorry can't help you there.
Would be great for them too officially support it. Not to take anything away from the developer, but it would be great to be part of the software as an option.1 -
I've been following this Dj Mirror stuff on Patreon and I find it very interesting but here's my questions….how do you order it?
Do you get the software for Dj Mirror and then you order the hardware (screens, cables,…..from a (online) store? Or do you just pay Dj Mirror and they send you a box containing all the stuff you need?

If there are switches like that, a small code addition in the D2/S5/S8 qml files could make them available to Traktor's global MIDIbuttons. That means any kind of tsi or qml mapping could trigger them. I hope i find the drive to compare the MIDIscreen files with the original tonight to get an overview.

It has been a week or two since I last saw their page on Patreon. So now I found out the just sell the software and I have to buy to hardware from Aliexpress (or another store).
So to actually buy the software, I first have to become a Patreon member by upgrading?

I switched all 4 decks to "track decks" but still shows "Filter" 🤷🏽♂️

Try the D2 screen buttons 4 and 8 (left arrow and right arrow). In the code this should switch the controls, as far as i could see.
Also, can you post a picture of the screen (high res of the relevant area9?

the D2 arrow buttons dont do anything on DJM or D2 screens , Im thinking something is messed in my QML because the "KeyLock" is always reversed in DJM or D2 (ON in Traktor OFF in DJM/D2 Screens and vice -versa)

Then i guess Filter footer is for remix decks.
What happens when you turn the endless encoders under the screen?

it pops up the remix deck filters, but nothing in track decks
