Haven’t tried Loopy Pro yet, but if you do make a template and share I’d be happy to try it!

    I’m stopping at 3 JAMs. Although it’s even, with 3 M+s.

    And the winner is… REPHAZED!!!

    3 (THREE) Maschine+??? 😶😶😶

You could compose “rephazed 5th symphony” with that setup 😂

Btw: no…you are not even… with 3 Jams and 3 M+, how would you dispose them? My visual obsessive compulsive needs would not be satisfied…

Ok…one set composed by one M+ and one Jam in front, one set to the left and one set to the right… mmmmh…no… I would not feel ok… still unbalanced in some ways… at this point is better my setup: one M+ in front of me, one Jam to the left, one Jam to the right

You must reach 4 and 4… THAT would be even 😏

    And you MUST dispose them like this: M+ - Jam - M+ - Jam - Jam - M+ -Jam - M+. Specularity is the key…

    😂😂😂

I really like the Maschine system and just need to have one everywhere I create music. None of the M+s are together at any time. One is in my dedicated studio, another in my portable, jam studio, and the third is the travel/on the go. I’m sure I’ll probably cave in and get a 4th for redundancy/ failure or as a dedicated FX box. With my kids in sports, I’m constantly on the go so not having to think about disconnecting gear and remembering what’s in flight, what do I reconnect once I’m done, I remove extra stress from my life.

With NI adding more FX and me getting more and more proficient with Maschine, I can start removing Meris X, LVX, Zoia and others out. I generally struggle with connecting/disconnecting gear so this removes the need entirely.

Yes, but… are the dimensions of your studio room in relation to the Maschine+ dimensions following the Golden Ratio and the Fibonacci numbers? 😂😂😂

No! NI left that recommendation out of their manual. 🤬😭

im wondering if the Maschine+ has the host button on it… with the enable buttons as well?

    as shown in this picture?

i have another test for you to carry out on your Maschine+…

it involves routing via a wireless networking…. if you are interested??

it will require a mobile phone, and a computer which can utilise rtmp and either a router or a hotspot as well

i know that appleOS have rtmp builtin… but you will need to have software on your mobile phone that can handle virtual midi ports.

i just finished doing a test on my own m1macmini with a mobile phone… and im not entirely sure if it will be applicable to the maschine+

I’m not too much into WiFi testing… for a couple of reasons: first, as we said earlier in this thread, everything I tried with WiFi led me to the conclusion M+ WiFi is there only for connection with NI authentication system…nothing else worked till now. Second: I would not be interested in using it anyway, since WiFi adds latency (even to midi).

Lately I’m even more upset with M+ WiFi, since every time my M+ isn’t able to connect to it, I find myself in the situation where even the already installed on the SD items aren’t available (thing that I really don’t understand…).

If you really NEED to have it tested, I can eventually make it for you if you give me the exact indications of what to do.

About the question of your previous post (that I’ve noticed only now)… I would not even know where to look for that Host/Enable on M+. I tried to have a look now, but I don’t see it anywhere (automations in general are something that you cannot see in M+)

no worries… your frustrations with the Maschine+ are well noted…(*chuckles*)

the real idea behind the test, was to see if a phone or ipad can be plugged in via the USB… and see if the virtual midi ports created on a iphone or ipad or android phone are exposed and seen by the maschine+ when the devices are directly connected via the usb ports…

at which point the mobile devices become the middleman

But… since plugging an iPad (or an iPhone) with USB already allows to send and receive midi from that device (and eventually, if needed, another device can send midi via Bluetooth to the plugged device)… what would be the use case for introducing also WiFi into the equation?

lets just say… if the virtual midi ports of an apple ipad are not seen by the maschine+ then there is no need to proceed further

if the maschine+ can see the ipads virtual ports that opens up an avenue….

AFAIR, the M+ can see the MIDI output ports of apps on iOS devices. But it’s a while that I tried this…

    @ozon

if that is indeed the case, and the virtual ports of the ipad/android devices are exposed to the Maschine+, it presents a possible(keyword possible) avenue to tie the Maschine Jam into midi mode… and tie it into the apple devices thereby controlling apple devices over the rtmp, and possibly, control maschine by proxy…

The benefit of the maschine jam in midi mode… you can use all the various midi types which a ipad application might use- minus any realtime velocity… the benefits to the maschine+ are less so, ….this is purely becos maschine+ can standalone… and operate regardless of a maschine Jam

anyway… this idea can be buried, no point in flogging a dead horse
