If it works ignore the colour of the icons. You could go ahead and Try WASAPI Exclusive now as well.

PS you didn't change the Built-In Soundcard option to Realtek

Have a look at this dropdown in the Audio Setup screen - it shouldn't be set to the S2. It should be your laptop soundcard.

    I don’t understand…

With this suggestion, he will have Traktor’s audio coming out from computer speakers and not anymore from the speakers connected to S2…

No, he won't. That's the fall back option if the hardware fails, or is removed.

    From the manual:-

    Built-in Soundcard

Win Built-In: Allows you to select the internal soundcard as fallback. This will be the soundcard used by your system in case your Audio Device set in the Audio Setup section will be removed.

    Oh thank you…

I didn’t pay attention you were talking about another section of the settings (the one for Built-in soundcard.

    My bad, sorry

I wouldn't worry about it, as long as it works. Reading the manual I'm not even sure what it means?

    Do you mean this icon?

    Clipboard_04-25-2025_01.png

if so, then it is very normal to be orange!

It only means that not all devices are connected

In my example, i also have DJ Tech Dragon Two controller and i also use Maschine MK1 as controller, but i do not have them connected all the time, since i use my Z1 MK2.

They are there, just in case i ever need them. So the connection button is orange but it does not matter at all.

If you must see a white button to feel ok 😋 then simply remove everything else from Controller Manager and keep only your S2 MK3 mapping! Or, connect all the devices you see there.

Also please keep in mind that perhaps there are older mappings from non-existing devices there… if so, then remove them (and see your button become white! 😉)
