My clean midi files (no CCs, no sustain commands) run perfectly in Kontakt 5 but with every note sustaining in Kontakt 7!!

Fix?

Hello johnlewisgrant, the issue seem related to the Kontakt instead of Native Access, so I moved it ton that section.

Can you please provide us more information about the issue so we can help you further to solve that as soon as possible.

    I hope this helps☺️

Sounds as though something is sending a cc#64 (sustain pedal) message. Try sending a cc#64 = 0 message (e.g. by pressing and releasing a sustain pedal if you have one) or disabling Sustain Pedal in Instrument Options>Controller.

It's a MIDI file playback via Reaper. There are no CCs of any kind in the file. Kontakt 5 plays the file clean. Kontakt 7 plays the file with all notes sustained. This behaviour is for all midi files I've tested. Clean in (no sustain) in Kontakt 5. All notes sustained in Kontakt 7. Kinda weird.

    Certainly is.

Do you mean that when each note is played it continues to sound indefinitely?

If so have you tried anything I have suggested? What happens when you play notes on the Kontakt keyboard, or on your MIDI controller?
