Prismatic Bliss not available on M+

Dear NI,

Today while installing/uninstalling expansions on my M+ I noticed that Prismatic Bliss expansion is not available through M+. However I have it (license) in my account and I'm able to install it on my desktop through Native Access.

@Matthew_NI can you please help to route this question to correct people to learn how this can be fixed?

Kind regards.

I believe this question was originally raised when the expansion was first released, and apparently it's because some of the kits contain Recycle RX2 files, which don't work on the M+

Due to those few files not being compatible, the whole expansion is seemingly blocked - yet each of those RX2 files are duplicated by standard WAVs, which begs the question……….why was this one expansion not made available without those pesky RX2 files so that it would function on the M+ like all the other expansions?

Valid question, as this Expansion has so much more to offer than just incompatible RX2 files. You can still copy all the WAV files, Sounds, Groups, Projects and synth presets (for Prism AFAIR) into a dedicated directory on the SD card (e.g. /Library/Expansions/Prismatic Bliss/) and make it available as User library.

    I just did that:

Copy Prismatic Bliss Expansion to the SD Card

    • Attach Maschine+ to the computer
    • Activate storage mode: SETTINGS > System > STORAGE
    • Copied the whole Prismatic Bliss Library to the SD Card under /Library
    • Deleted all the RX2 files from the Samples/Loops folder
    • Unmount the SD card from the computer
    • Leave storage mode

Add Prismatic Bliss as User Library

    • Go to SETTINGS > Library > USER
    • Button 8 ADD
    • Navigate to SD card > Library > Prismatic Bliss Library and SELECT
    • Wait until content scan is finished

Now you find the following content in the BROWSER under USER:

    • Projects > Prismatic Bliss
      • Load the first project Anema
      • When asked to locate Kick Gluon.wav, navigate to the
      • SD card/Library/Prismatic Bliss Library/Samples/Drums/Kick/Kick Gluon.wav
      • Project will load and M+ will find other missing Prismatic Bliss samples from now on
    • Groups > Prismatic Bliss (most of these use the RX2 files and won't be useful)
    • Instruments > Massive > Prismatic Bliss (there are quite a few nice presets)
    • One Shots > Prismatic Bliss (unfortunately the Loops are not properly tagged and found here as well)

    Learnings:

    • All of the Groups make use of the RX2 files to a some degree, which renders most of them useless
    • The Loops are not properly tagged and appear under Samples. That can be corrected easily by temporarily adding the Prismatic Bliss Library/Samples/Loops folder as User Library to the Maschine desktop software and changing the Content Type from One-Shot to Loop in the Tag Editor.
    • The included 31 Massive Presets are quite nice
