Native Access Not Updating Libraries

Has anyone else experienced this issue? For a while now, Native Access (v. 3.17.0) hasn't been properly updating instruments.

Whenever I try to update, NA shows that the update was installed, but the "Update" button remains next to the instrument.

For example, I updated "Velvet Lounge." After the progress bar completed, I received prompts saying, "Successfully installed Velvet Lounge" and "Velvet Lounge Update installed" — yet the "Update" button still appears.

Any suggestions appreciated. Thanks!

Have you done the Mac users must do when using N.I. apps ? :

ALL NI apps including NTKDaemon must have full disk access. : How to Enable Full Disk Access on macOS

and disks must be of correct format : Notes on Network Drives and Disk Formats

And quote Kymeia : if using Sequoia then N.I. apps must be added to the Local Network

Thank you for your response. Yeah, I've done all of the above already.

I'm just out of ideas so I did reach out to NI support and created a ticket.

I have the same Issues since 6 Month. Updates for Apps like Kontakt, Komplete Kontrol, etc are working, but all the updated Libraries remains to be updated…. @JTmapa - I had a Ticket last year for this issue : https://support.native-instruments.com/hc/requests/4371390, and we decided to wait for a patch of NA, but the issue is still existing. I tried many things (new installation, preferences, fixing the path, - unfortunately without success ) If you get any news I would be very happy to hear.

I've had a ticket for a week now but there hasn't been any resolution. They sent me their NI Support Tool but did not work because it failed to scan. I sent them a screenshot of the tool not workin butI haven't heard back from them and it's been 4 days later…

    @Jeremy_NI:

Unfortunately I have to report a similar problem. Updates via NA2 won't succeed in the end.

I've been informed lately that there's an update available for my installed product "Modular Icons".
After pressing on the update button within NA2 (V3.17.0), the DL process starts, but soon stops again.
It automatically switches to "Paused" without completing the download, just before the expected end.
In my case, the info bar keeps showing "4.29 of 4.30GB - less than a minute remaining".
Even if the "Play" button is pressed to continue the download process, it won't help at all.

After a short time it stops again; The process seems to stick inside an endless loop.
After several times even the message "download failed" (with a red "close" icon) pops up.

All my NI services (NTK Daemon, NI Hardware Service and NI Host Integration Agent) are running.

And as I just found out, this issue seems to apply to ALL new updates/downloads in the queue.

A few hours ago I joined my iZotope acount with NI's account.
Is there something wrong now in general, so that NI suddenly won't accept my updates?
    Please advise. Thanks.

    Update:
I even downloaded a fresh copy of the NA2 installer from the NI homepage and tried again.
Same result. Downloads are always failing by entering the "Paused" status immediately.

In my case, pressing Update downloads and "updates" the plugin (successfully "updates") but the Update button reappears. I did receive a few few suggestions from NI support team but unfortunately, none have solved this issue.

I could temporarily fix the problem by shutting off my portmaster firwall during the particular download I wanted to achieve.

But that also means that something strange must be going on behind the curtains. NA2 seems to try bypassing secure DNS servers and attempting to perform its own thing which subsequently fails while the protection is active. But of course disabling firewalls cannot be their serious solution to enable downloads in the future, I guess.

Even though data tracking is switched off in my case, it seems that all these NI services running in the background are constantly collecting information (or at least they try to), even if these data are not always directly related to NI's business. The log files are also containing information about other vendor's plugins etc., and sometimes NI is even wrongly "guessing" if a plugin is "owned" or not. I'm somehow worried how far this will go in the future, as all my plugins are 100% legal and I'm not sure what NI is trying to achieve by spying like that.

Just like you, I've meddled with my network settings but that did not affect any behavioral changes to NA2. I've basically exhausted all possible avenues to sort this out. So bizarre!

As a test - I saw the Modular Icons update available just a moment ago.

Hit Update and it was easily the fastest update I have ever seen - less than 30 seconds from clicking Update - to Done.

When is the last either of you - did a network reset? Not a Mac guy - but it is easy to do in Windows 10/11 Sometimes works wonders - just when you least expect it.

And for the OP - are we sure that you have granted ALL your NI stuff - the proper allowances and permissions in Sequoia? I know that this OS is very specific in what it will allow and not allow - until the proper access (app by app) is turned on.

Thanks for the response! I've given Full Disk Access to all NI related components, etc. Netwok's been reseted and performed all of NI's Support Team's suggestions. Still no resolution.
