Modular Icons Sequencer Notes

Correct me if I’m being a dummy, but you can set the key & scale and lock this in the sequencer. Say I did E Minor.

When you go to nudge the notes, shouldn’t this be programmed to minor notes only? It’s a music theory question really.

For example, you’ve set the seq to e minor, is selecting maj 3rd or all majors make any sense? Why wouldn’t selecting the key & scale change what notes you’re able to draw into the seq?

    Hey Arnk,

Thank you for your suggestion. For now, it works fully chromatically, but the out-of-scale pitches are getting quantized based on the root and scale you have chosen. So, it is on the safe side in terms of the outcome.

On the other hand, I agree with you that there should be increments based on the scale functions rather than being fully chromatic. This becomes a common practice now. I will add this to the team's backlog.

Hey there, have you checked the manual regarding the sequencer features?
