I did the Komplete Kontrol 3.4.1 update, but I'm still missing libraries. What else can be done?

I'm missing about half of my libraries (some from Spitfire Audio, Impact Soundworks, Orange Tree Samples, Sonokinetic, etc.). I opened up Komplete Kontrol as a standalone and tried rescanning everything. The thumbnails re-appeared, along with the presets and the ones I've starred…but when I try to open the program, I get an error message that says the plugin can't be found. I haven't relocated any plugins or changed any installation paths since the new update. In the previous version of Komplete Kontrol, I could locate everything just fine, and it was all where it was supposed to be.

That sounds a different issue to the one that was fixed, as these all depend on just one plugin, Kontakt (and that is definitely working in Komplete Kontrol). Do you have the latest version installed of the VST3 plugin of Kontakt?

If you do have it installed try a fresh plugin scan, if necessary take the Kontakt VST3 out of the plugin folder - scan it, then put it back and scan it again to force it to unblacklist it (in case it failed the scan and got blacklisted)

I have the latest version of Kontakt 7. When I downloaded the Komplete Kontrol update, I also downloaded the Kontakt 8 Player at the same time. So I took a chance and uninstalled that (the kontakt 8 player) since I haven't used it yet and see if that might be connected to the issues. I did another restart and all of a sudden, everything uploads and appears in my Komplete Kontrol just fine. So somehow, the Kontakt 8 Player had an influence. The problem seems to be fixed for now, but I feel like it's just postponed temporarily until I re-install the Kontakt 8 Player.

You probably had the ‘use latest versions of NI plugins’ checked in settings

I didn't change anything. The 'always use latest version of NI Plugins' is still checked.

I know it’s on by default - the point is when you installed Kontakt 8 player that automatically became the latest version

You should start by resetting the database, that has fixed it for a lot of users both with Komplete Kontrol and Maschine.

    Reinitialize the Komplete Kontrol Database

    1. Note: The User Library folder is hidden. See this article for instructions to access hidden macOS folders.
    2. Search through the Native Instruments folder at this location to find the Komplete Kontrol folder.
    3. Note: Deleting other NI product folders could result in unexpected behavior with other applications.
    4. Reboot your computer and reopen the Komplete Kontrol software to check that the issue has been resolved.
