native access is up to date, windows 10, everything else installs fine except kontakt 8 player. I have reinstalled native access, 3.17.0 and updates everything but kontakt 8 player. Any ideas. Hesitating upgrading to kontakt 8 at this point. Can anyone help? Thank you all, Joe D

If there then uninstall Kontakt 8 and then run the reg tool and remove Kontakt 8 if there : Fixing Software Update Installation Issues (Windows)

    Then reboot computer

Then download KONTAKT 8.1.0 and run installer as an admin

    Then see if that helps.

Due to Native Access often being completely unable to recover from failed downloads then failed downloads may still linger in Native Access and sometimes then the only way to get rid of that is to uninstall N.A. and then remove all the N.A. folders from the hard drive and then reinstall N.A. again and then in some cases it will just stall the download again. In such cases then please contact N.I.Native Access and Installation Support who you should also contact if what I suggest does not help.

In case that you need guidance contacting support : Please read : how to get support !

In case of problem downloading KONTAKT 8.1.0 then try logging in into Google first, if that doesn't help then copy the download to own Google drive before the download.

The above ought to help you circumvent the download limit.

    HeyHo!

I ran into a similar issue. Native Access just ended with 'failed'. Here is what I did:

    • I ran the install again - within Native Access.
    • When the download was complete it showed sth like 'installing'. At this point I went to the temp directory (see the NA settings) and copied the zip file "Kontakt_8*.zip" to a different folder.
    • Closed NA
    • extracted the exe from within the zip: "Kontakt 8 8.2.1 Setup PC.exe"
    • I ran the exe "Kontakt 8 8.2.1 Setup PC.exe" and the installer did start and…
    • Bummer - my C drive was full. the exe raised the error showing:
      image.png
    • Although my Kontact library folder is on a different drive this install wanted to see 3.3GB free space on the drive where the executable gets installed (C:).
    • Lucky me - I had 1.4 GB in the dustbin which I deleted and I could use the [Retry] button to get the installer continuing and it finished without an error.
    • After the installer finished, I had 2.5GB available on C:, so it only needed ~1.8GB, actually while the folder "C:\Program Files\Native Instruments\Kontakt 8" requires ~155MB only

    Hope it helps :-)

What a bummer! An update for Kontakt 8 Player (K8P) came out: V8.3.0.

Before I started the update I just ran K8P without an issue.

Then the update using Native Access (NA) failed with the symptom: The install path was empty and I could not set it, neither could I repair it. I closed NA and reopened it - same as before. I again copied the downloaded zip file to a safe place. I closed NA and then I saw that the "Kontakt 8" directory under "C:\Program Files\Native Instruments" was gone. (Also the icon in my Windows startmenu was gone.)

Running the installer from that zip file manually worked. (Now the icon in the win start menu has reappeared.)

K8P runs fine again - NA does not show the K8P update anymore - promising.

Hence, this workaround has proven two times.

    Cheers

    Martin :-)
