S88 MK3 doesn't recognise kontakt 7 natively anymore

Hi all, looking for any input if anyone's experienced this,

I load a template with a few k7 libraries in cubsse.

As the template loads, the libraries appear on the s88 screen.

When the template opens in cubase, the s88 doesn't have native control over the k7 libraries,
just default midi screen is showing on the keyboard.
However, it works as expected with komplete kontrol plugin v 3.4 and it works with kontakt 8 player.

S88 software version version is 1.8.7

Only noticed this yesterday, after updating some stuff in native access.

I downgraded to komplete kontol 3.2.1 and no difference.

I've uninstalled and reinstalled native access, complete control & kontakt 7 a couple of times this weekend but still no joy.

I noticed that the thumbnails for my nki files in my sample drives sub folders were blank, as opposed to usually having a small keyboard 🎹 picture.

Whatever faffing around I did they now seem to be showing the picture again.

Is there anywhere I can downgrade older versions of native access to see if that helps?

If I uninstall everything NI related from my pc including program files & app data folders do I lose all previous project settings when I reinstall?

Thanks for any help.

Hi Matthew, pretty sure I had the default preferences loaded, I read about the first cell being imperative to autofocus.

Anyway I found a solution on the cubase forum for anyone else who gets stuck with this issue.

It's something to do with cubase quick controls messing up kontrol.

Go to C - documents - "Username"- VST XML folder.

I searched for "generic 8" and roughly 10 files came up.

3 of them were linked to native instruments, kontrol etc.

I deleted those 3 an hour ago and I'm back up and running.

Thanks for input, hopefully that'll be that.
