Kontakt Direct Control with Kontrol s61 MK3

Hi! I understood i can now control Kontakt directly with my S61 MK3 keyb instead of having to use Komplete Kontrol for this. The problem is that every time i open a Kontakt instance, i have to go to file → controller → select "kontrol s61 mk3" as the controller - only then it displays the instrument controls on the controller display. When i change the kontakt instrument channel and come back, i need to do this again, otherwise it just displays "Default MIDI Template". Is there a way for the controller to stay there as default? It works correctly when i open the standalone version of Kontakt 7 but not when running it as a plugin in Cubase 13.

    Are you selecting the track in Cubase, Or opening the plugin directly from the mixer? I'm sure the track has to be selected for the controller to link to the correct plugin instances.

    Also, is the Komplete Kontrol integration running ok with Cubase? If the mixer functionality is working fine on your Mk3 then it is.

    It's this integration that tracks which track/plugin instance that you're focused on within the DAW.

    There's also been a recent Cubase update within past few weeks, are you running that or an older version do you know?

    I'm selecting the track in Cubase. The mixer control is working as expected. Adding a Komplete Kontrol instance works as expected and displays the browser on the device screen when the track is selected but it doesn't work on Kontakt 7 instances. I'm running the latest Cubase (13.0.50). Funnily when loading the project and it scans through the Kontakt tracks, it displays the images & controls of the Kontakt instances on the S61 screen when loading that specific track, but when the project is opened, they don't sync to the screen / device when the track is selected but i have to select the s61 mk3 controller from the Kontakt instance for the direct control to be active 💁‍♂️
