Komplete Kontrol 3 continues to host both VST2 and VST3 plug-ins - it does not delete them.
Komplete Kontrol 3 itself is only available as a VST3, as VST2 is no longer supported even by Steinberg.

Again, and on top of waht Matthew said, that's not anything similar to this thread, OP was on Mac and the issue was caused by a third party plug-in. I would really encourage you to create your own thread with more details or contact support: https://bit.ly/NI_support_Kontrol
