unlock MP3s Y/N?
Hiya
Should I unlock mp3s "from another machine"? I've not experinced any issues which I think may relate directly to any issues I'm experiencing.
I know locked DLLs can cause permissions type issues for instance and wondered if Traktor would somehow improve in perfprmance if I unlocked all my mp3s.

Personally then so far I have not seen anything that suggests that you will get malware or virus from MP3 files but it never hurts to virus scan files.
Anyway , I did a quick look-up and I found a peculiar suggestion (and I can not believe that I am actually going to suggest this 🤣) : Try moving the files to your desktop and then move them back again. That might possibly help !

You could just press unblock, the questions is: what does it do, or does it have any influence in not doing it, regarding Traktor.
I wondered the same thing myself yesterday, when trying to help a user from this forum.
I know you can't run powershell scripts without unblocking them. But .. mp3s? 🤷

13,492 Files..hence why I should ask if it's worth the bother :) The dll mentioned in my other post doesnt exist as far as I can work out …

In thory this should work because it will inherit permissions from the local machine. I might try one folder and see what happens. But I think I'd have to move all the files (Vs their parent folders) and we're talking 13,492 Files. I'll see how i get on with the one folder experiment. Good call :)

Nope. Neither copyingthe folder and the invivudual fie inside did teh trick. I've checked some random folder contents and not all files are locked. Which overcomplicates it. I might leave it tbh.

Did you try with move ? , Else try take own of folder before moving forth and back.
