What is the required or suggested file format for Native Instrument downloads

Looking to download Native Instruments Kontakt 8 and would like to know the best file format for external SSD.

    For best results, your external drive should have the same format as your computer's internal system drive.

    macOS

    • On macOS 10.12 Sierra (and earlier versions of OS X), the standard HFS+ / Mac OS Extended (Journaled) format is recommended.

    • On macOS 10.13 High Sierra and later, the Apple File System (APFS) format is recommended.

    Windows

    • The standard format is NTFS.
