I got the same problem. I'm S4 MK3 user and I use to work with Remix Decks (one deck) and track desks (2 or 3, it depends).
Everything worked fine with the previous version I used: 3.7
From version 4, I've stuck int he middle of the set one over 5 times kind of.

As I used the exact same set (devices and configuration) as before, I think it is NOT a configuration problem, most likely a software bug, affecting to some S4 MK3 users, not sure if other controller's users as well.

Note that I was working with a MacBook (MacOS) Intel (2013) and now I'm using a MacBook M1 (2020).

Anything else with this problem? Any solution or workaround?

I'm in contact with NI support to try to find a solution

I'm the OP of this thread. I followed the advice of some commenters here and have been starting Traktor as an administrator. It has reduced the issue significantly to the point I can use the software for gigs. It has happened occasionally, 3 or 4 times, but I was using it at home at the time. Right now, I'm having a problem with Traktor closing instantly. It's happened twice recently but that's another post for another time. Hope this helps.

For MacOS users, I'd like to verify wether is a memory cache problem or not, by keep open the Activity Monitor while executing Traktor. Maybe some of you guys took a look of this topic? Maybe some related info from NI team about it? Maybe comparing data using Traktor vs using another DJ software?
