No output from standalone Guitar Rig 7

Clear input and output signals on meters, full permissions on M1 Macbook Pro granted. Only possible anomaly I can see is I can't set separate input and output devices on the Prefs panel. When I choose Scarlet 4i4 for the input, it defaults to the same for the output, when the output should be the Mac's speaker (or "built-in"). If I change the output to "built-in", the input also changes to "built-in", which of course, defeats the whole purpose.

You'll need to create an aggregate device with input from the Scarlett and output to the builtin speakers. If you don't know how to do that there's an article here that explains it - https://support.apple.com/en-gb/HT202000. Once you've created that device select it in GR7 the input should come from the Scarlett and the output will go to your speakers correctly.

Additional note…Guitar Rig 7 does have access to the microphone. Seemingly this is important to get signal into the the app. Of course, I'm not using the microphone.
