where is the K8 library order pref file stored on mac?
hi all.
im having some issues with kontakt so i uninstalled it but now i've reinstalled it and the libraries have changed order.
i backed up all the preference files in user/library, /library, /shared, user/documents etc etc etc and restored them but now my libraries are a total mess.
i have time machine backups but i cant seem to find the exact file which i need to place back.
can someone please help?

Q : Where is the Kontakt library order list stored?
A: Quote Jeremy_NI Customer Care , November 2024 :
Unfortunately, there is not one file responsible for this. It is written in every library's plist or registry entry. Also check out the : How Do I Save the Order of my Kontakt Libraries when doing a fresh install on new computer? thread. : Quote EvilDragon , August 2022 :
The sorting order stored in the registry/plist is valid across machines, actually. If you transfer registry with just the UserListIndex DWORDs for all library keys in a .reg file, it would just work on another Windows machine. Unsure about Mac but I bet plists are pretty much the same deal.

thanks. unfortunately that advice doesn’t give any specifics about what file it is.
i’ve tried replacing all of the files that i removed when i uninstalled kontakt and none of them have returned the library order for some reason.
