Traktor D2 Freeze Mode bug
Since Traktor 4 update, the freeze mode doesn’t work well anymore. The loop at the screen doen’t fit as before (it appears at the left side), and while the chops are still right, if you let the loop playing, the size doesn’t fit so when it comes to the end and starts again, it sounds out of the beat.
i guess as long as D2 and S8 are discontinued, NI developement team is not going to fix this issue, but it would be nice then a new version of this controllers soon, please!

I can already see how to repair this, NI should get up and do something about it. Sadly, this is a visual bug on a legacy device, which is going to make this low priority compared to some of the functional issues with Traktor currently.

Hi, same here on pure Traktor 4 software + S4
As long as I let freeze mode do its thing alone (so not much besides looping) all seems fine, but triggering a slice makes the overall loop about 1 and half beats longer than it was, and the loop will sound horrible if I let i play outside of slices.

Is there any progress on fixing this? D2 is a great controller and there is not real alternative on the market.

This is a Traktor software issue not just a hardware problem for the D2. I had this feature mapped to my S4MK3 and it was working perfect on TP3, but now facing problems in TP4

I also would love to see this issue resolved. I know it's legacy functionality, but since STEMs integration, freeze/slice mode is suddenly much more interesting as a tool in my opinion. Chopping a whole song on the fly can sound messy, but doing so in combination with isolating just the vocals or synths can make for really interesting results. I've been doing this with Traktor 3 across the 16 pads of an F1 and it worked perfectly. Now on Traktor 4 it's almost unusable because once you hit a slice/pad it adds an extra four slice lengths to the end of the loop and everything gets off. A small work around is if you quickly increment and decrement the loop length the freeze mode length will correct itself, but this is clearly not ideal. This bug fix would be hugely appreciated….. Freeze mode + STEMS is the future not the past!
