Maschine mk2 working within the Maschine 3.x(with limitations)

You made me want to upgrade 😂 exactly the kind of twist I like to spend hours on . Though those policies to drop support controllers is a shame . Software is the same they should all work with the idea that each controller depending it’s generation has his advantages, direct buttons, colored screen, touch strips and whatnot. The company would be more trustful going that route. I’d be admirative , grateful and probably keen to keep opening my wallet because I know it’s a good investment like any reliable tool. Instead of that you just know it loses value when it is actually amazing peace of tech every time. Wouldn’t take much to make those tools collectors but instead of that it is marketed to depreciate itself. At the end of the day I’ll end up going back to good old midi versatility with the addition of osc and customise my workflow in a good daw

D-One said: "How you know he doesn't work remote or something"
When I use the word "you" I don't literally mean just ozon. I (obviously) mean that in general a person does not have to do those things. If you like, I can edit my posts and change it to read "one doesn't have to".
If one works remotely, then one does not have to do that on the same computer with Maschine 2 installed.
Many people choose to keep their "mission critical" computers offline.

something like lulu is a useful firewall especially for the MacOS

Newsflash - you don't HAVE to upgrade your OS.
Did you ever follow your own advice?
Because I did exactly as you suggest. Stayed on macOS 10.14 for over four years because of abandoned synth hardware drivers. Less fun than you might expect, if you want to keep on using other current software. In the end, I gave up and ditched the (very expensive) synth.

Yes, if the circumstances dictate it. I've got lots of old stuff here, going back to the 80s.

It was an example of a reason that staying offline in 2024 is not really a possibility for many people.
Having multiple computers is also not something the average person can afford… IDK how thats not common sense. The whole advantage of computers if that they can do a tons of things, from making music to replying to work emails and everything in between. Point being that "dont use internet" and "don't update ever" are not a reasonable approach for many people.

OK, and my point was that it's not necessary to put one's controller in the bin because it doesn't work with Maschine 3.

Can you confirm if Kushview's Elements work in Maschine 3.0 just as it does in 2.x?

Kushview Elements Loads in Maschine 3.0 but becos 3.0 becomes the host, the Maschine MK2 controller wont be recognised.
if Maschine 2.X is the host the maschine Mk2 controller will work with limitations, when working with maschine 3.0 VST0
