quick tip to regain Kontakt 5 Libraries

Hi NI Forum - All GUIs from all Kontakt 5 Libraries I own load correctly when program opens, each one with a tab saying "Activate". I'd be happy to oblige, but when it takes me to Native Access, it doesn't happen. All my Library entries there say "Demo", but Players are "Full Version". Kontakt is 5.8.1 which I think is current. My ID hasn't changed in years.

I shouldn't need to re-install all Komplete files, it's all still there, the .nicnt files, licenses, etc. Why are instruments not loading into Kontakt, or not re-activating automatically? Thanks for any light you might be able to shed. TheProf

Hi Jeremy - Thanks so much for your response. One thing here has led to another, and I have no one else to blame but myself. I needed to move some files around due to maintenance, and I lost my "ras3" folder somehow. That leads to a lot of studying, which is a good thing, but I believe "Native Access" is not accomplishing it's normal duties here.

I've been using my Laptop which is a virtual clone of my Tower, my main PC, to look at how a working NI platforms' hierarchy should be organized. On the Laptop, the ras3 file is fully populated with 30-40 .jwt files, that appear to be registry entries. On my Tower, that folder is empty, and is not being recreated by Native Access. My Libraries in Kontakt remain in "Activate" or Demo mode, all else appears to be registered as "Full Version". That would be all the players I assume.

I was happy to receive the "Solution Wizard" tool, and creating that "Info" file went smoothly. Sending it, not so much. My email server tried over and over for 2 days to send it. 6mb is just too much of a burden I guess. So I tried using "Dropbox". Just not sure if the shared folder I created made it to NI. So, as it stands, I have 5 days of work under my belt, with no success. I would be happy to try to get that Wizard file to you, I'm just not sure of the method to accomplish that.

Thanks again for your support, and I expect I'll be up and running again soon. I really respect what you all do!

@TheProf You sent the support tool result several times, no worries, it has been received. My colleagues got back to you this morning, if you haven't seen the email, please check your spam and filters. To gain time, and possibly to help others, I am copying my colleagues reply here:

Native Access fails to create the activation tokens. This is usually caused by the folder, that contains those tokens, having corrupted permissions.

Please carry out the steps of the following article:

Native Access Error Message: "Activation failed...Internal error during activation"

On the screenshot you sent I saw that you have CCLeaner installed.

Please note that that software can be quite dangerous and mess up your Windows installation

I would add to that this article, since you used a cloning software and we don't recommend this:

My Native Instruments Product does not work after using Migration Assistant / Time Machine / Carbon Copy Cloner (Mac OS)

If you still struggle with this, even after these steps, please get back to my colleagues.

Hi Again - My humble apologies for all the mailings, my Outlook was in a loop. There was a recommendation to use CCleaner for some maintenance I was doing. I just added it and will be happy to quickly dump it. I'm not sure which software is cloned, I did make some attempts to get files back in place, but I should know better than to touch anything.

I believe I should be re-installing Native Access, but I'll follow the steps again in above link, sans the CCleaner software. I'll also try to get in sync with your responses, not juxtaposing them.

I really appreciate your efforts and support! Thanks - Rick

Hi Again - Tried uninstalling Massive, firing up Native Access. It would reinstall Massive, but not finish activating it. Would it be best to uninstall all "Demo" items excluding the "Full Version" listings because they are recognized as such? Or is it best to uninstall everything in Native Access? I'm guessing the libraries will be read again once the programs are reinstated. (Hoping?)

I'm sure you know what this means: When I open Native Access, a window on the bottom pops up telling me with a green check mark, "Install successful - Kontakt Player 4 was successfully installed". Also, Native Access has never asked for password, just logs right in. Normal?

    Continued thanks for assistance. RG

    Hi Jeremy -

Not sure you caught my last post. I had a few pertinent questions about the way "Native Access" was acting: 1) The pop up about Kontakt 4, 2) Whether uninstalling "Massive" (in Demo Mode now) and re-installing in Native Access was expected to pass "Activation". It does not. And 3) Should I just go ahead an uninstall all "Demo" listings? I'm not really expecting Native Access to respond to anything I do right now.

Thanks again. I don't give up easily:>)) Rick

Hey Rick, please get back to my colleague, he's the specialist, not me. He wrote to you yesterday morning. Double check your spam and filters if you didn't find the email.
