Library plays wrong notes

Hello! I own libraries of Taqs.im with world instruments. After change of my computer, I have a problem with some of the instruments. They do not play the right notes. It seems as if notes are played randomly, or sometimes playing the same note when using different keys. Some of the instruments work properly. Does anybody know this problem, perhaps with other libraries? What can I do? Starting the instrument anew does not help (I have a win 11 computer and Reaper as DAW).

Well, I am not a Reaper specialist, so I don't know which files to delete exactly. My advice would be to reset Reaper's preferences to default or check the settings on the previous computer where this problem doesn't appear.

The issue is definitely somewhere in Reaper's MIDI communication to Kontakt. I understand that it doesn't happen in all libraries but similar issues in other DAWs and libraries were coming from the microtuning scripts of Kontakt and their interaction with the DAW. Since this is a Middle East instruments, they probably use a microtonal vs Standard Tuning.

If you open Kontakt in standalone, are the notes "normal" or does this happen only in Reaper ? What keyboard are you using ?

Hello Jeremy, good points... I just tested the Kontakt standalone (I think the first time... ;-) ). The sound is right!! - So it seems to be a problem of the plugin in combination with Reaper-settings? - But it is strange that some instruments of the same libraries works right, and that the problem occurs within some instruments of all three taqs.im libraries.

(I use a windcontroller and send breath CC2 to volume in Kontakt)

It's weird indeed. If you use the blue keyboard inside the Kontakt window, do they play the right notes ? Or is this is only happening with your windcontroller ? Did you save some of the presets in Kontakt in Reaper or are they factory presets ?

    Thanks for your patience!

"If you use the blue keyboard inside the Kontakt window, do they play the right notes ?"

    Yes

"Did you save some of the presets in Kontakt in Reaper or are they factory presets ?"

No, I started the library-instrument anew, without using presets. (I also tried these instruments in Kontakt 5 - same problem)

"Or is this is only happening with your windcontroller ?"

No, I used an external midi-keyboard. It is the same.

I experimented a little bit, and it is a similar reaction. If pressing the same key more than one time, the sound makes a jump to another note (sometimes higher, sometimes lower) at the second pressing of the key; then it rests on this note (when pressing the same key a 3rd, 4th etc. time).

Ok, so it's probably some kind of MIDI setting in Reaper. You should be able to reset the MIDI settings to default. Maybe these 2 videos will help:

Thanks for helping. The guy at the video says that settings in Reaper are seldom corrupted. I do not see that there is a problem within the midi settings because some of the Taqs.im-instruments work good (and all other Kontakt libraries other than Taqs.im too). If you think, it could be midi settings perhaps you could specify which settings this could be. Thank you!
