Any chance of being able to integrate Maschine into the Pattern Player so I can use all these amazing expansions and instruments and sounds from Maschine? Be great to have the Maschine and Traktor S4 out during a set and being able to create new and interesting mixes by incorporating the two.

A Maschine deck in Traktor is a long term feature request since the day they introduced Maschine. But in the meanwhile, there ar many other ways to integrate Maschine into your dj sets. As a hint i can recommend you Ableton Link for syncing between your devices and you are free to create your own "pattern style remix decks / sequencer" and play with it alongside Traktor.

I don't understand what is the problem to use it as it is now? Traktor and Maschine software syncs very easily.

BTW: This is not exactly what are you asking for, because its more a remix deck extension instead of a pattern player, but i can really recommend all the videos from this lovely dude on you tube:

Give it a try. Of course you will have to invest a little bit of extra time for preparation, but a lot of fun too!

As long as you play fixed tempo. With Ableton Link activated a track deck can‘t be tempo master anymore. Traktors Master clock is Master then. This rules out using Ableton Link if you play with DVS.

I don't know what is Your experience playing Traktor with an external instruments, but Ableton Link is a very powerful godsend feature if You want to integrate external devices like synths and sequencers. And tempo is not fixed with Ableton Link. You can adjust it as You want (change with buttons, with knobs) and this tempo will adjust on everything what is synced with Ableton Link. And it is so easy to do this on many external synths without any problems in real time. DVS and Ableton link? What about taping tempo to Ableton Link according to the playing DVS?

I only used DVS for it. Not shure what you mean with that? Maschine was always my slave.

But I will give it a try later and check it out.

If I activate Ableton Link in Traktor my track decks aren't selectable as Master anymore. The button for that is just removed then until I stop Ableton Link. Maschine follows my Traktor clock but you have to use Master clock. You can change the master clock BPM and Maschine follows but you cannot let the Master clock follow the tempo of currently playing track with setting it to Auto as you could do without Link.

But this is how Ableton Link works. It keeps in sync everything what uses Ableton Link. You can try to sync Maschine via MIDI. In this mode, there will be no MASTER CLOCK, but the tempo will be in sync.
