I'm having the hard crash issue as well with Komplete Kontrol trying to connect to Kontrol 61 Mk3 keyboard. On day seven trying to get this to work. Setting up a new Mac Studio M2 Ultra 128gb Ram 14.5 OS LG 49" UltraWide OLED via DisplayPort from TB and another 65" LG OLED via HDMI.

I think I have it almost working but the Keyboard at least now shows the interface when Komplete Kontrol launches but has no control, the browser button and all knobs do nothing. On the software I can pick a instrument and it loads and if I press a key on keyboard it will play but everything on the keyboard is locked up and even stays locked when Komplete Kontrol has quit.

@Jeremy_NI yes on 14.5 but have not even tried Logic 11.1 yet as I'm trying to get it to work with stand alone Komplete Kontrol first. Most of the time when launching KK the keyboard stays in Standard Midi but once in a while will go to the proper graphics but be frozen and not usable.

@John 7 I've created this thread from your post in as it's more specific.

So to be 100% clear, do you experience crashes of the whole mac (aka Kernel Panic). Yes or No. Thanks for clarifying.

So, regarding Logic and crashes with the keyboard when using Kontakt 7, this is fixed with Logic 11. Please update.

Now, if I understand correctly the only remaining issue is that the integration with the keyboard does not work as expected with Komplete Kontrol in standalone. What about in Kontakt in standalone?

How is the keyboard plugged to your computer? Directly in a USB C slot? Through a hub? Is it a powered hub? Do you also power the keyboard separately?

Do Komplete Kontrol, Kontakt (and Logic while we're at it) have full disk access? How to Enable Full Disk Access on macOS

And switch Mk3 to MIDI 1.0, then remove it from Audio/Midi setup, then reconnect and also switch Logic to MIDI 1.0.

If you're using an M2 machine - I would strongly advise using a USB-C hub rather than going directly in. That is likely to resolve instability.

@Jermey_NI Yes total hard crash when launching KK but now seems to be fixed after setting only one MIDI choice and switching the LG from 240hz to 120hz.

Keyboard plugged in with cable that came with it direct to computer, no addition power, cable worked fine when used with older iMac. Have tried other cables with same result.

Yes everything has FULL DISK ACCESS and the 2 NI's are running at login.

Confirmed that the keyboard does not connect using KK inside Logic 11.01 and standalone still. After a restart on the first keyboard startup the proper KK graphics come on but are frozen and stay on the keyboard screens until restart.

regarding "Keyboard plugged in with cable that came with it direct to computer, no addition power, cable worked fine when used with older iMac" this is a huge clue as to the potential cause and solution that i'm trying to suggest above (use a USB-C hub)
