8Dio NKS Compatibility

Hi guys,

NI seems to have a sale going on with 8Dio (and a pretty good one at that). I currently own half of the libraries that they're advertising in their promotion, but I really want the NKS integration with my Komplete Kontrol S61 Mk2 keyboard. Is NI able to issue me new serial numbers so I can register them with Native Access? Or will I have to buy all of these all over again during the sale? Would appreciate any help I can get, since I can't seem to contact NI directly. Thanks all!

    I bought the libraries all through 8Dio themselves. This was before they were NKS compatible, so I don't have any serial numbers associated with Native Access.

    Some information from 8Dio community Discord server…

    We understand there are questions regarding whether 8Dio will support the Kontakt Player Format.

    Currently, the promotion is exclusive to the Native Instruments website. We do not have plans to support the Kontakt Player on our site due to our extensive catalog of over 400 libraries, all designed for the full version of Kontakt. We believe introducing select products in Player format might create confusion for our customers.

    Please note, libraries compatible with the Player format are available exclusively through Native Instruments, and they also handle all related support, as we do not manage the Player libraries directly.

    Based on this information, NI most probably licensed certain 8Dio libraries, and amend them to include full NKS as well as Kontakt Player compatibility. Support for these amended 8Dio libraries will be borne by NI exclusively, and not from 8Dio.

    So, basically, looks like

    a) contact 8Dio for updated installers for NKS "full Kontakt version" support where available
    b) buy the special bundle deal and get NKS files for all the included libraries

    I am literally on the fence on upgrading / side grading? / this offer as well, so top of mind :)
    In my case I just migrated to Komplete Mk3 so even more fun in store!
