Audio recording file is cut into 2 pieces...even when i record the whole 2h session.

I have Traktor Pro 3.5.2 299.

When I click on recording (while I play my set in my class), it records it, but afterwards, when I check audio recordings, I see it has cut the session of 2 hours in 2 different recordings (normally around 62min and then 47 min).

Like this I cannot upload my mix online, which is really annoying!

Why is it doing that? And how can I change it back to record the whole session in 1 file?

    It's based on file size. I'm not sure you can disable it, but you can set it as high as possible

    You can always set those files together again with 3rd party software like Audacity.

    @lord-carlos thanks! changed the file size, lets see how it goes tomorrow!

    To record a set while you give a class (using traktor, plus Z1, external mixer and soundsystem), do you have 'output routing' and 'mix recorder' in internal or external?

    With z1 you have to set everything to internal.

    And do no special routing. It will record master.

    Why it's limiting the file size why It cant record one file?

    I believe the original reasoning was to chop large files into CD sized chunks for burning, think you can change it up to 2gb now.

    Might also have been a remnant from when some OS file systems didn't allow for files to be bigger than a specific size , I know that there were limitations for e.g. FAT32 for Windows but I don't know if Mac ever had such limitations (?)

Older operating systems use a 4-byte signed offset, allowing physical files up to 2 GB.     .wav also had a file size limitation at some point.

    I also guess it's because of ~old code~ from a decade ago and no one changed it.
