Maschine Plus MIDI mess

Ports on a Computer and problem is solved. Everything is in the Manual and even somethings that person couldn't find out just by self learning.

I will check that out, and will also check for other alternatives. Thanks for your recommendation 🤝

I have used this for connecting Midi to USB , I have found it to be of rather good quality : ESI MidiMate eX ! I first bought some cheap cable that didn't work. The ESI cable is not exactly free but were not that expensive either at least not when I bought it ! (P.S. , I just did a search and it appears as there are knock offs sold also , so please notice how original looks shown on picture)

Just checked the Motu mtp… no doubt it can do job, but a bit too big to transport for parties and jams with friends :/

Lots of 5 pin DIN sockets take up space! How many ins and outs do you actually need?

Ideally 5 (for the future), but 4 would do for now.
I am probably getting this https://blokas.io/midihub/

MIDITECH MIDIFace 4x4 £55
They also do a compact 8x8 which is smaller than the MOTU because the ins are on one side and the outs on the other.
Oh wait, does it need to be standalone and do routing? 🙄

Might be able to pick up a used one for cheaper? Seems more or less like the Blokas as far as capability.

Sorry if I stopped participating, but I started to find hard to understand all of this for what you want to do.
Setting up all of this mess with programs involved to manage the routings, new devices to buy, cables to manage… just to avoid having to plug in and out one single cable is out of my understanding ☺️
I could still see the need if you wanted to have different midi devices being available to use with different systems all at the same time…but since you want to use M+ in standalone mode OR as a controller for Maschine software… that sounds all a little over complicating things for my brain 😂
BTW: since you say that you want to transport all of this to parties or to friends… from my experience, don’t ever think that setting all this mess will lead you to have everything always working hassle free… more variables you add to the system, more chances you’ll have that one of the components will have problems and you’ll end up spending time troubleshooting things instead of making music…
As I said, one single cable to move from A to B is in my opinion the most direct way 😉

Doubtful unless they came out with another version. The midihub is the reaktor of midi interfaces.

Yeah I watched the video after posting my comment. The midihub looks pretty awesome, being able to add effects to midi devices seems pretty awesome. Now I might have to get one lol.
Now if only they had an 8 port version...

Alas that's a rack or rack size, have no idea if they have 8 port as mini , don't think so..

Yeah that wouldn't work for the op, but it would for me. All of my audio gear is racked.
I'm using an 8-in 8-out MOTU right now that's racked along with some other gear. But it's just a MIDI router, I don't use the timing stuff at all. It also doesn't do any of the fancy FX stuff like the 4x4 one the op posted. That one looks cool, just doesn't have enough MIDI ports for me.

You mean semi abandoned and that they hide your ability to use the version you have hoping you will buy a new one? 😏
