Keeping mine. Hoping the software catches up. Just swapped out my 88 and 61 mk2 models for mk3, so really ready to get back to work sooner than later. Had to e-waste the mk1 49 as literally nobody wanted it.

@JesterMgee : My needs for KK for instance are dead simple.

Browser allowing fast finding of sounds or browsing a plugin (with improvements to add better filtering)

Auto mapped controls allowing automation to be easily recorded

Light on resources so as not to add overhead too much

Pretty much my needs for KK also..

"We were 90% there with KK 2 and now I feel we have dialed back top about 40% since the browser has not improved..."

Reading what you've written over the last 3-4 months, I was convinced you thought we were only 30% there and then we dialed back to 5%.

Somehow I feel more optimistic now!

I received an S88 MK3 from Sweetwater earlier this month. No problems setting it up, and it powers up just fine from my MacBook Pro M1. It feels like it is pretty well-built, and to tell the truth I am not a concerned about the software- I wanted an 88-key piano weighted controller with polyphonic aftertouch to replace my 35 year-old Kurzweil MIDBoard that has finally failed and is unrepairable. But my biggest concern is the piano touch, it feels HEAVY. The downweight on my acoustic grand is 48 grams, the S88 MK3 is around 65 grams. Does this bother any of you people with a piano background?

actually, i was noticing the weight is really heavy just testing all keys after unboxing...also from sweetwater...but have not yet actually played anything like alicias keys yet....not too worried since fatar know what they are doing, but kinda used to kurzweil and the yamaha rh3

I own the kontrol mk3 61, curious why NI decided to drop the Maschine Buttons, I’ve decided to go back to my MK2 S88. It’s integration inn masculine it truly magical. Even if NI put Maschine integration, how it would work? This is disappointing!!!!

This has been talked about over and over many times here on the forums. Basically, NI's telemetry told them that nobody used the Maschine integrations, and since they were basically rewriting everything anyway, they left that part out of the MK3.

There is of course some disagreement here in the forums about whether or not the telemetry is correct. But NI made that decision and is sticking by it.

what a mis hap for NI. However, if they at least implement maschine integration, including mixer functionality.
