How to get an edit pattern as a track

Hi,

This is an item that I really can't figure out: for example, I want to edit a rythmpattern in Cuba. When I am done, I want export this pattern to a track (Garageband or Logic Pro X). When I drag the 'cross'-symbol to the track it plays the complete, original pattern. Not my edit. How do I get my customized pattern to the track?

Of course it must be something simple, but I can't figure it out after a lot hours work. Can somebody help me out? Thanx!

    Hey Hans, how about running Kontakt in a MIDI channel in Logic (or Garageband) and simply record your pattern there?
