How do I get my Sunburst Guitar instrument to stop loading the output to + Groups
Help! I am using Kontakt in the multi output stereo mode. Every time I load Electric Sunburst Guitar and try to assign the midi output and input, the output always goes to Groups +. How can I just have it go to Output St 1 or Output St 2. The Groups + assignment seems to disable output. I've seen advice for the older version, directing us to edit groups via the wrench icon, but that icon has been replaced, and the replacement doesn't get me anywhere.

This is what you're looking for. The wrench icon works too when it's available, but as you mentioned there is no wrench for Electric Sunburst.

Thank you, but I'm not sure: am I supposed to change this to Assign to Omni or to Assign First Free? When I change it to Assign First Free I still get the + Groups thing. I also get + Groups when I select Assign to Omni. See screen shot. Thanks so much for your help.

You can choose either option depending upon your needs. Selecting omni will put every instrument on the same MIDI channel, first available will assign every new instrument to the next available channel... ie first instrument channel 1, second channel 2 etc...
I would try troubleshooting in standalone mode to eliminate any DAW issues.
