Annoying bug or set up mistake?

I'm running logic on a new Mac Mini M2 Pro. When using Komplete Kontrol with my keyboard (either an M32 or an S49) the notes I play are duplicated, one on top of the other. If I highlight them all I can move, quantize or delete without a problem. If I try to do the same thing with an individual note I reveal the note that is underneath. It doesn't happen with Logic's stock instruments, other third party instruments or with Kontact. Is there a preference on Komplete Kontrol that I need to set up or is it a bug? I've reinstalled and installed the latest update but that hasn't made a difference.
