How to record drone sound from India instrument in logic pro X?

I have been using NI software for several years, but Logic Pro only recently. Previously, I used Qubase and there it was easy - HOST slider to ON and the background sound was recorded without any problems. I spent a lot of time doing the same thing in Logic Pro, but I have no idea what's going on. Can someone help me and write step by step (I am a pianist not a computer person) how to do it?
