Logic Controller Settings + Mikro MK3

In Midi mode, I am trying to get the smart strip to control the current channel strips volume and the knob to control the current channels Pan. It appears to work when using “Automation Quick Access” under Logic Settings -> Automation… but it does not stick after clicking “done”
