It would be absolutely lovely if Traktor had the some feature that would make it easier to organize files on your hard drive from the playlists in Traktor. Playlists change a bunch and keeping up with files and back-ups has many of us simply saving files in dates on our computer. So, if we had a way to pull files together it could be a fantastic way to keep back ups relevant. Traktor knows where the files are, so maybe it could move them, create a folder, and it could also update the collection of the new file location.

File access through the folder tree is already available in Traktor. It would be great if we could manipulate these folders/files inside the Traktor. I support this idea. I suppose that many could even refuse to use playlists in most cases.

What functions would DJs need?

Create, delete, rename folders

Delete, move tracks

Instead, do the opposite: do OS folders only, and use them as your playlists
