Vote Kontakt.dll or Kontakt 7.dll crashes Cubase when loading a Kontakt file 60% of the time

Hello folks. Has anyone experience this problem that it is a lottery if Kontact crashes Cubase while trying to load a Kontakt plugin? I don’t know if this is a clue but I have 2 external hard drives where I keep my Kontakt files so don’t know if it is a delay problem?

After 2 or 3 more attempts the program will eventually open and this does not make any sense for a noob like me.

Advise 1) states 1. Delete the KONTAKT User Registry Folder

Worried I will have to add all my libraries again? Is this the case?

@curness Do the crashes happen in Kontakt in standalone? Are you running Cubase and Kontakt as admin? How to Run a Program as an Administrator

Is it happening when loading a particular instrument or preset, or any preset / instrument?

Hello Jeremy thanks for your reply. Do the crashes happen in Kontakt in standalone? No but will double check as normally use plugin

I am pretty sure it is a time out issue as I have libraries installed on a couple of hard drives and can hear them revving up when I try to open.

@curness Ok, so what happens in Kontakt in standalone? And what happens if you run both Cubase and Kontakt as admin, do the crashes still occur?

I've had this same issue upon my purchase of Kontakt 7. No issues with 6 at all. After trying all suggested remedies, I just reinstalled my OS. Extreme, I know, but fixed my issue. Now Kontakt 7 runs flawless and has zero issues during usage. Not a great hat to toss into this topic, but it worked for me. I am running Win 10 Pro., Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-6600K CPU @ 3.50GHz @ 16 gigs. Bare bones.
