Maschine MK3 Mikro & Logic — Only 45% "integrated"

Aloha from Honolulu,

I've used Logic & NI for decades, but am new to Maschine. Dipping my toes in with the Mikro.

I've watched "every" NI and YouTube video on Mikro/Logic integration, and they get me about 45% of the way there.

I know there are various ways to configure the relationship between Mikro/Logic.

What I'd like to do is:

-- Use the Mikro pads to trigger notes. (I don't care where they get recorded first)

-- Easily record into Logic on 16 separate channels

-- It'd be nice to loop in Logic the way you can on the Mikro stand-alone

My newbie analysis points to various "minor" settings I may need to attend to:

-- The Manual/Drumkit setting... set to Manual?

-- Turning the Patterns OFF on the Maschine 2 plug in?

-- Is there a MIDI setting I need to set on the Mikro side?

-- Might the set-up in Maschine 2 standalone be "fighting" with the set-up when Machine 2 is a Logic plug-in?

-- Are there other "minor" or "obvious" settings that I'm not attending to?

I need real help with recording:

-- Is it initiated from Mikro or Machine-in-Logic?

-- How can I record onto each separate track (16 tracks)

-- I pull MIDI from the Mikro to Logic, but even in just one of the 16 tracks, ALL the 16 pads from the Mikro play

-- Can I set a count-in as usual in Logic for use with Mikro?

-- How do I get recording to start at the "first bar" in Logic — they seem to start randomly, but when I stop Mikro and drag MIDI

-- Again, can I set up a loop in Logic, and and then create a pattern in Logic the way I would in the stand-alone Mikro

Like I said, I've read the Mikro manual (dozens of times) and watched innumerable YouTube videos and... what should be simple and straight-forward set-up doesn't seem to be.

Does anyone know of a comprehensive resource that helps a new user set up the relationship the way s/he wants (me: play notes on Mikro, easily record on 16 tracks in Logic) and then use that set up to work efficiently?

I need real help with recording:

-- Is it initiated from Mikro or Machine-in-Logic?

(im guessing here) press play in logic and then record in the maschine VST

it will print your midi to maschine

-- How can I record onto each separate track (16 tracks)

(guessing here too)find out if logic utilises multi-channel routing...

create 32 channels(16 stereo pairs(multi-channel)) on the track which houses the Maschine VST and then use the ext-out's inside Maschine VST to send the channels to the track you want

note: this prints the audio to the channels if record is used within logic(minus any FX)

my guessing is based on how i do things within reaper

    goodluck!!
