Expression pedals with piano emulations…?
I’ve got Komplete, a with all the various piano packs (Alicia Keys, Maverick, Grand, etc)…
the keyboard I’m using is a Korg Prologue…
wondering: if I were to get an expression pedal and plug into the Korg, would this automatically route to being the sustain pedal for those piano vsts?
if not, how exactly would I go about setting it up to?
thanks!

If you want to trigger sustain, then just get a regular sustain pedal. Like this…
then just plug that into the pedal Jack of your KB and you should be all set. The libraries you mention are all enabled to accept sustain midi cc (#64).
Expression pedals are continuous controllers that act like volume pedals which are not suited for sustain (On/Off)…Hope that helps!!!
